We are thrilled to announce a powerful new feature designed to give you deeper insight into your content's performance: Media Analytics is now live on the MediaZilla platform.

For years, professional video creators and marketers have asked us, "How are my videos performing?" Today, we deliver the answers. This first phase of analytics is built on a robust data infrastructure to provide you with accurate, actionable metrics directly within your dashboard.

What You Can Measure Now:

  • Total Views & Unique Viewers: Go beyond a simple count. Understand your true audience reach by distinguishing between total plays and individual viewers.

  • Download Tracking: See exactly how often your valuable content is being downloaded for offline access.

  • Collection Performance: Don't just see overall numbers. Identify star performers within a collection to understand precisely which content resonates most with your audience.

  • Mobile Accessibility: Your analytics aren't chained to a desktop. Monitor your performance on the go from our full-featured mobile site.

Introducing Media Analytics!

We are extremely excited to announce the first phase of our all new media analytics! You can now see how many total and unique views your videos and collections are getting, as well as the number of downloads. See which videos within a collection are getting the most views and validate which content your viewers are watching most. This actionable data is also available from our mobile site for viewing on the go.

The New Media Context Menu

With the addition of analytics, we updated how media options are accessed to keep the interface clean, intuitive, and ready for more features on the horizon. We’ve added a new context menu for videos and collections, accessible by clicking the title of the media in your dashboard.

Historical Data

We are working on importing as much historical analytics data as we can from views made prior to the release of this feature. It is not a simple process as it is being aggregated from multiple sources with varying data formats. We anticipate this process being complete by the end of 2020. 

Additional Analytics Coming

This initial release of analytics is just the beginning! We are now capturing a wealth of data as viewers engage with your content and we will be making more of this data available to you in future updates. You can look forward to interactive graphs, location maps, video engagement over time and more!

A: We are working to import and process all historical data from before this feature's launch. This is a complex task, but we anticipate it will be fully complete by the end of 2020.

Q: Can I see analytics on my phone?
A: Absolutely! The new analytics features are fully accessible on our mobile site, allowing you to check your stats from anywhere.

Q: What’s the difference between "Total Views" and "Unique Viewers"?
A: Total Views" counts every single time a video was played. "Unique Viewers" counts each individual person who watched it, regardless of how many times they pressed play. This helps you understand your true audience size versus total engagement.
