Sydney, Australia — David Mezey earned a degree in TV and radio journalism before starting his own business, Alpha Omega Video (AOV), a production company that helps brands shoot compelling video that better engages viewers and clients.

“A lot of training and promotional type videos is what we're doing,” said Mezey on AOV. “But we also branched off into another area, which is dance studios and their concerts and recitals, which is under the heading of [In The] Spotlight Productions.”

ITS Productions has become a lucrative endeavor for Mezey and his team. Although, the studio’s delivery of projects has come a long way. Originally, ITS was providing clients with a physical disk as the final product.

“I didn't see sending a client just a link with a download of an .MP4,” said Mezey on using physical disks for delivery. “I didn't feel like that was the way to go.”

It wasn't until he stumbled upon a blog lamenting the "end of DVD" with a link at the bottom. That link led to MediaZilla, the platform that would change the studio’s delivery forever after. Mezey flew out to Los Angeles to meet with MediaZilla founders Jon Geddes and Michael Guastamacchio about joining the platform.

"[The meeting] helped me understand that this wasn't something that would just disappear in the next year or so,” said Mezey.

Mezey and his studio convinced their clients to make the switch from physical disks to digital deliveries.

"I liked the menu system," Mezey said. "Being able to click a button just like you do with a DVD was a big bonus."

For Mezey and the other videographers of MediaZilla, the platform has created a seamless delivery experience that helps guide DVD loyalists into the future of digital delivery. By combining the cinematic experience of DVD menu playback with the high resolution compatibility across the expanding landscape of streaming devices, MediaZilla makes an easy case for digital video delivery.

MediaZilla’s professional delivery process has also paved the way for businesses and platform refugees alike that struggle to deliver video content in a noisy internet space riddled with ads, unrelated content and subpar uploaders that compromise resolutions.

"With the types of projects we're delivering, Vimeo just doesn't work," said Mezey. "I love that MediaZilla updates for everyone. It's like a magic thing, they don't have to ask for a new link, it's already there."

In the meantime, Mezey and his studio are working on an exciting project involving old concert DVDs and digital deliveries. You can learn more about In The Spotlight Productions here.
